Lol, it cost me my shortblock with 193k on it. I believe that he used to charge $150 or so? @blackozone is the fellah that hooked it up for me. He's outta Crotchester.

Put the snows on. I think the oem Dunlop SP600's are shot, all of them are cupping in one way or another. Maybe RE11's next summer.

Also took some pictures of recently installed parts.

Destroyed both driver side wheels and the tires by nailing a chunk of concrete and rebar that was sitting on the edge of an exit here. Was on a cruise with the local club when it happened. Luckier than the owner of the other OBP STi that was with us though, he blew his engine an exit away from me. This is the same area of one the highways here that some guy destroyed two Evos in. Bad cruise spot, but I ended up getting the other OBP guy to swap his wheels with mine to get one of us home, since his was getting flat bedded anyways. So cruising with 2 gold and 2 silver BBS for right now.

TLDR: destroyed 2 wheels, buddy destroyed his engine, riding on his wheels till I do my 4/2 pot swap

You're getting rid of brembos? I'm assuming that is to make room for smaller wheels?

Correct. Got the 15" Braids I had on my WRX, and yes, they are dual bolt pattern.

What's the plan for the big brakes? Selling them or keeping them to return to stock?

I'll be putting them up for sale after the swap. No plans to ever return this one to stock, it'd cost too much, lol.

Oh ****! That's always the worst feeling in the world. One time at the end of an autox run, I somehow popped it into first. I saw the rpm's sky rocket, but they only made it to about 7,500 before I clutched in.

    Glad its still running!

Its from Oswaldperformance.com. so far with the little bit of driving done there seems to be a lot more stiffness. Combined with the upper brace and the new aluminum lca's with the whiteline anti lift kit. Needs a stiffer read end now.

I've been looking at that beaut lately, looks like now is a good time to snag one since Mickey (THE Oswald of Oswald Performance) is having a sale on them this month. Now if only I could get rid of that damned Spearco TMIC I have sitting around here I could afford to snag one of those subframes (and the skid plate mount) up before the sale is over.

Two new front axles into the '00 OBS...first one took 50 minutes (and a beer) because it took a bit to figure out that I had the axle rotated 180* from where it should be. Did the second one in 21 minutes.

I'll add that those axles had less than 5k miles on them! (EMPI remans). I have Forester struts all the way around so suspension geometry is all out of wack...I'm hoping to have better luck with the NAPA remans that I just put in. A legit alignment would probably help too

You missed the group buy then? I had to get in on that, believe it ended up being $350 shipped, so I'll owe them the last $150 sometime next month.

Believe it ended on the 2nd of this month, but it lasted ~2 months IIRC.

Edit: Yeah, 2 months according to the NASIOC thread for it: LINK

I really like them! They look pretty good and Saab owners who know appreciate them as well. I meant to swap my summers on to those rims, haven't yet. Ill rock them this winter, swap tires in spring and fix up the plasi-dip.

You should get another Saabaru! Just because.

Bummer, bad timing it sounds like, $650 for both right now.
That's correct, it was for the rear brace, I agree that it was a great price, I jumped in at spot 12 on the list figuring $380 shipped wasn't bad, another $30 off after all the people jumping in during the final few days of the GB was icing on the cake to me. :bounce:

I sold a '97 OBS a couple years ago, those same colors with the clearcoat almost completely peeled off the scoop. Same one?
