Dropped the WRX off at the clinic (JM) this evening. Fingers crossed she comes out alright. In the meantime, I need something to drive. Truck is having rear end issues as of late so my next in line is the trusty Legacy. Thing hasn't seen "daily" use for probably close to a year, although we did drive it around the field frequently at our last rental house. So I pulled that beast out of the shed tonight and emptied its contents into the space it left. Smelled a little funny at first but she came around. Figured while I have it out I'd throw on an E85 tune. I think I must've messed up the fuel trims a little cuz it seems like it's running awfully rich...
You shouldn’t be losing THAT much fuel through the exhaust! Better take that one to JMA too!!? Is it making a popping noise??
Went out to do Subaru things this evening in the new snow. It was madness up here (Oak Grove). Right around 7 PM and the plows hadn't been out anywhere, even on HWY 65. Headed eastbound and down to the nearest gas station, as I forgot I was in dire need of gas, so figured I'd get that taken care of before pursuing the shenanigans. Made it just to the gas station (maybe 5 miles) and pulled in with the check engine light flashing at me. Good times. Sounded like a dead hole and had a misfire on #2. Shut it off, filled up, tried again. Still missing. Cleared the code again and waved my magic wand (aka, middle finger) under the hood a little bit in the general vicinity of the #2 coil pack wires. Somehow it managed to clear itself long enough for me to sneak home with my tail between my legs and park it back in its hole. Not sure if another coil pack is that bad or maybe I sucked in some snow. F**king car... On the bright side, I've got a fridge stocked with Cherry Pepsi, a comfy couch, and this... My hula girl never gives me sass.
Went out for snow blower gas, cocktail mixer and ice. Took the 01 Forester. Dragging skid plate through the snow the whole way to the main street. Got to the gas station. Filled both tanks. Grabbed fizzy bubblech and ice. Went home. Nothing special.... The old bitch just does what it needs to. **edit** knock on wood...
Hahaha, i was thinking the same thing! “Man that’s a good amount of booze, oh wait...that’s a good amount of rum!?” Lol
Five feet of new snow and there isn't more posts of broken Subarus? You guys disappoint. At least Krazy gave it the old school try, but still managed to limp home instead of having to resort to cannibalism buried in a drift somewhere.
If i still had the WRX I might have gone for a hoonin. But i just don’t think that the BRZ would have faired all that well. Lol
Left mine in the garage too! I ended up with 4’ of snow on each side of my driveway and a foot down the middle. Good times!
Actually got her stuck yesterday in west st paul for about a half an hour snow about 8 inches about the bottom of the door Glad I had my broomball sticks with me to dig her out first time in 8 years my subaru has gotten stuck
The wife backs in. That is her thing, lol. She has one that runs perpendicular to that one as well, in the back, that she stops at.
My neighbor insisted that i use it. That’s why you can see the heavy duty scoop shovel in the pic. Lol. It did manage to blow a fair amount of it. But the 3 ft at the end of the driveway just laughed at the little fella.
I just figured it was segregated parking lines probably with a "BRZ ONLY" sign HAha! I have a ball hanging from the roof truss for my gal... she still parks all kinds of crazy angle, for some reason when the back of the car enters the garage she feels the need to turn the wheel even tho she's made it a couple of car lengths perfectly straight to get to that point! I gave up on it
That's funny. Old habits are hard to break. I used to back my cars into spots all the time. Now it depends on which car. Subaru=pull in forward BMW 2002=back it in
If you enjoy rum like it appears you do we will have to get together sometime. I have a fair collection and some stuff you should try.
Heck yeah. I'm not a fanatic by any means but do like a little variety every now and then. Don't really care for much else (other than rum), honestly.
You drink it neat or mix mostly? I mix more then I drink neat but I have a few that I will drink neat if the mood strikes me.
Definitely not. Haha. (I'll admit, I had to look that up). I've got a pretty weak palate. I can't do beer, and pretty much no hard stuff without a mixer. Kinda lame, I know. I'm a pretty simple guy: rum (not Captain...) and some dark cherry inspired pop.
I don't blame you I like to drink my rum with cherry coke. Let me know next time your down around the south side of the cities.
Bought my 18th one yesterday: 20180415_163813 by Numbchux, on Flickr 20180415_163748 by Numbchux, on Flickr Needs a clutch, then it'll be on the road. Then I can give the XT6 a break (i.e. designated RallyX duty, once I get the van fixed.....and get a trailer....)
The far left light opening will not be used was O.G. drl. I made some blanks to cover opening from inside and tried other color combos like white/matt like far right blinker. Think ill leave those off so if i need to reactivate O.G. drl ligjts.
Paid Jeff a visit and had him install 1/4" spacers up front and align everything. Now the car sits nice and level that my OC tendencies are satisfied. Jeff is a pretty interesting guy. Had a good conversation with him during the alignment process. He gave me some good info about doing a lift, whenever I get around to it.
He's quirky as **** but he is a perfectionist. I've always had interesting and enjoyable conversations with the guy.
The cars with summer wheels and M+S rated AS tires are going on this weekend. The cars with actual summer/performance tires are getting swapped next weekend at the earliest since they don't like being caked with sand/salt/debris on top of being hockey pucks in sub 50F.
