Cleaned up the BRZ wheels and got the paint touched up in anticipation of putting them on. Only a week or two to go! Before... After... Done!
What'd you get done? I want to get my windows tinted and that was one of the places I got a quote from but haven't decided where to go yet
TIC fender brace installation, larger outback rear rotors/brackets/stoptech pads, and whiteline steering rack bushings installed. Oh yeah, put the summers on. Had to wait til the coast was clear and my neighbors snow pile finally melted. Thank you @Krazylegz1485 for the good times help.
Took the bugeye out on a spirited drive in the country for the first time this year (yay!). Everything seems to be in good shape for summer, still pulling and stopping strong. Had my 3-year-old son with me for his first ride in it because he'd been asking to ride in "the fast blue car" lately. He absolutely loved it, kept asking me to go fast and never got scared at all, which is good because I can't seem to get out of the house without him trailing right behind me. Finally got to test the JDM projectors with LED bulbs too, output is good and the low beams have a nice clean cutoff but they definitely need to be aimed lower. Once I get them adjusted correctly I'll try to post a pic here for any who are curious.
Tint Pros or Lifestyle Tint. They collaborate with each other so they're very similar on the quality scale.
Well, "new" Outback is running well, and since the weather has been nice, I thought I'd park my XT6 out of the way for the summer. Turns out the yard is still soft.... 20180429_155513 by Numbchux, on Flickr Made a nasty mess, but got out without assistance. 20180429_155629 by Numbchux, on Flickr 20180429_155654 by Numbchux, on Flickr 20180429_155728 by Numbchux, on Flickr
Yep, I had him put 30% all they way around my '07 STI a couple years back and that was never mentioned
I've had nothing but great experiences with Chris. Great guy, honest, and stands by his work. He's done a couple jobs on my FXT and on my Dad's '18 STi and we've been very happy with his service.
I love the grocery list vinyls! I think I recognize most of which items parody which brands. Are you planning to sell these? While I probably won't put any on my car, I'd love to get a small size set to put on my MacBook. Heck, I think a t-shirt with this would be awesome!
Took advantage of the nice weather today and washed, clayed, and waxed the car. Took a photo showing the nice shine and my phone decided to make an effects black and white photo. I thought it looked pretty cool.
Took her to the body shop to sit next to @pleiades Legacy. When i get her back, she will be with less blemish!
HUGE shoutout to @JasonoJordan @Navar Hren and @Mnelson for helping me out last Sunday installing my coilovers (per my post in the DIY Coilover Installation Thread), fixing/diagnosing my Hella Lights that were having electrical problems, and cleaning up my assortment of crappy wires hanging around my engine bay. Seriously, you guys are awesome for going above and beyond with these fixes. Next meetup, beers are on me! Images are currently day 3 after alignment with some camber to both front and rear. Might be a little hard to see it.
Looking good. Where did your alignment numbers ultimately end up? Did you get the new relay for your Hella lights and get them back up and running?
Without getting that extra part that you and Navar mentioned for additional camber, I've got -1.7 in Front and -2.6 in Back. I might give it a while before I start tinkering with height and camber, really figure out what I want first. But I still need to make my trip to grab that, sometime this week I'd assume.
Took the 31st and Lake exit on 35W in Uptown yesterday. Pulled up next to a homeless woman and she asked me if my WRX was parked all winter because of how dirty it is...the nerve.
Installed a bypass RF modulator on my new beater. Works great: 2018-05-03_11-27-52 by Numbchux, on Flickr This modulator, with this install kit
Used some hand made ramps to get the car off the ground enough to fit the jack under while changing the tires today.
Opened up the headlights on my wrx last night to install LED c-lights, bi-xenon HID retrofit projectors, and paint the internal housing black. Everything went according to plan! Only downside was finishing up at 1:15 am... would not recommend on a week night.
Got some Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted for summer on the STi and started up the WRX for the first time since October!
Picked her up yesterday and she’s rust free! They did a great job! From this... To this... And Cole got all artsy...
Cooks off of hwy 36 and White Bear Avenue! https://www.cooks1stopshop.com/mobile/CooksBodyandMechanical2.html
It's been awhile, but I have ordered the hitch you installed. Could I borrow the bits for install? I'd appreciate it!
