Just bought a 2011 335i 6MT RWD and couldn't be happier! Deep sea blue metallic with oyster and black leather. Premium and cold weather package but no iDrive. Certified pre-owned from Minnetonka BMW. The blue looks much better in the sunlight. I'll get better picture eventually.
bought a legendary 04 wrx for 12k, blew the trans, threw on a stock wrx hood with no scoop, grey primer, put a stock stereo in it, took the air filter off, trying to get 17K. JW\LMK

whats your build plan... I have an 85 that I have had sit for 8yrs now.. one day Id like to get to it if I dont just buy a 3rd gen instead
the plan was to build a time attack/touge/drift car but I'm having to move soon for work and am unable to store it...
Got a tracking number from FP on Tuesday and came home to this today thinking, "I finally got my FP turbo I order months ago!" The box was a little on the light side. Opened it up to find this...
Where did you buy the Koni Inserts? I'm picking up a set soon and have been shopping for the best prices.
Picked up these enkei kojin rims for my brz. 17x9, coil overs are on the way as we speak to fix the wheel gap..
Haha, I'm working on the coors injection system still. The turbo's a PT8847 .96 A/R 84mm turbine. Going on my LS3. Hoping to make some decent power on 18ish pounds.. lol
Way to one-up me on the DD LOL jk, it looks nice man! I always like those, I just wanted to keep AWD and have something a little bigger. The cost of ownship of BMW's has scared me away, so I'm curious to hear your review. A CPO should help a lot in that department!
DBA 4/2 pot rotors for Bianca's (my STi) upcoming change-up to my old rally wheels. Just a few more major pieces to get the setup in place (King springs, brake pads and lines, and need to rebuild the calipers), since I likely can't run the wheels without the lifted setup (wanted it anyways), and definitely can't run the 15" wheels with the Brembos. Oh, also just bought 2 Perrin Stiffies used, figured I might as well finish it off and have all 5 for even spaces.
Pick up a Dewalt heated jacket before leaving work today. Runs off of a 12v or 20v dewalt max battery and has 2 usb ports for charging.
Does this come in not camo? Are the USB ports for charging the jacket or a phone or something? Sounds like a solution to me having to sit in a freezing cold car
They come in Black and Blaze camo as well. The usb ports are for charging phones and what not. Milwaukee makes a nice heated jacket as well.
Haha thanks! The 3.6R was on my list too but I actually wanted RWD for various reasons. I will have to write a review once it gets warmer because I obviously haven't been able to push the car much in the stupid snow! But so far the traction control has made the RWD surprisingly manageable in the snow even with the ****ty all-season tires. I'm not too worried about the cost of ownership though partly because of the CPO and partly because my GF has the X3 and I have done a fair amount of maintenance myself on her car. The lack of a physical oil dipstick and no spare tire are the only things that make me roll my eyes so far lol.
Interesting that you picked a RWD BMW for a DD...that thing is going to out handle your WRX...and the power band will probably be a bit fatter. You might be selling the WRX before you know it! lol Due to the absence of the spare, I'm guessing it comes with runflats? And no dipstick...wtf? I guess that Subaru dipsticks are nearly useless anyway.
Oh it definitely handles a ton better than the wrx and the torque curve is pretty much perfectly flat at 300ft-lbs from 1200rpm so it is really nice for everyday driving because the torque is always there...BUT with the 20G my wrx packs a MUCH bigger punch and is a lot faster as long as I keep it at or above 3800-4k rpm. So basically the 335i is perfect for "spirited" daily driving but the wrx is still more fun for hooning. Even if I go stage 2 in the 335i (which I will probably do sooner or later ) my wrx will still have more torque so I don't think I'll be selling it anytime soon lol.
Genuine 02-03 JDM STI hood scoop and splitter, JDM grill, pink "I" badge, and JNA front lip. Excited to install these when warm weather comes around!
