Well aware of that. I actually sold my bug eye earlier this year to member on here I believe.

I have parted out three bug eyes actually.

    My forester doesnt have rust...

No not at all. My idea is build front the ground up. The interior and front clip kind of fell into my hands with one of my importers. He asked if I wanted it so I said sure.

So follow up question, what makes this car more valuable then a bugeye?

A car, regardless of its condition, is worth whatever someone will pay for it.

I bought a bug eye running with a lot of rust for $1600 several years ago. Drove it home put it on jackstands and sold the swap for $2000. Parted the rest out and made over $6k

I bought a white bug eye for $1800 with a forged internal engine. Replaced the clutch system and sold it for $4200.

Now I understand that a bug eye may be more valuable to most, but to me I enjoy foresters. It is different. Less insurance as well :)

Sorry I should have clarified. You know how bare metal has that rain type rust that can be SOS'd off? similar to brake rotors that have been sitting after the rain?

"Built engine" It had rod knock so someone put in aftermarket rod and crank bearings.

I am waiting to hear why/how you sold the car, got it back, and want more money for it now.

Wow. Usually this sort of **** is done with a lighter touch. But you went all in on the ridiculous price.
A month ago I had a pretty clean 03 XS with nearly every option and managed to get 1100 for it on trade. I think blue book was 2900 with the 150k miles it had. And you're going to go for nearly twice that for a rust bucket Forester L that is 4 years older?
I know we've had some dumb kids in here in the past with some even dumber ideas about car valuation, but I think this one is the most delusional we've seen in a long time.
Do yourself a favor, and I am only telling you this because I've seen it come back to bite kids with similar intellect trying to pull the same stunt...Don't come in here in a few days and reply with "SOLD, for exactly the price I was asking. Suck it bitches!!!" We already know you didn't, and if you some how got the moons to align to get the asking price, odds are your buyer is an enthusiast and will join here in short order and see what sort of ****heel you are.
Your Forester is worth 2500 at best. Might be best to just accept it now and move on.
But you won't. I already know you can't help yourself.

I joined this forum not knowing there were people that bash threads. I read one earlier today thinking someone selling another persons care for 5k more was actually hilarious.

I can understand it with that situation, but come on people...get over it

    I'll translate this from dunce-speak:
"I didn't know when I came here that people would call out bull**** when they see it, especially for the purpose of informing less-informed members as to what the going rate is for used Subarus. Specifically when a brand new user posts a car for sale for nearly double the current market value.

Now I am going to take a page out of the old Russian propaganda playbook, and use 'Whatabout-ism' to deflect from the fact that I stepped on my dick over and over like Sideshow Bob in a sea of yard rakes.

Now that I have pulled a Barbara Streisand and drawn too much attention to my idiocy, I will try desperately to tell everyone to move along and forget about what I have done, oblivious to the fact that my continued posting is only drawing more attention to an already packed toilet."

I cannot see many people interested in buying a car from someone who has baller anywhere in his name. Regardless of the fact you are selling an overpriced, transformer/autobot/JDMYO idea of a build. I will give you the Jedi knowledge to obtain free car washes for life in return for this fine automobile. Also, I commend your high school approach to standing your ground and validating yourself but unfortunatley until you cut your price in half I imagine your plan here has failed miserably.

    SOS'd off :frantic::frantic::frantic::banghead::frantic::frantic::frantic:

Why not just dip it in an acid bath and rinse it off with maple syrup then let er bake out in the sun a bit?

Btw that "rain type rust" aka the rust colored streaks you see from rain type activity is from the RUST under the paint layer. But you're a seasoned hack in selling modded rotary's so I don't have to tell you that

I'll offer five gallons of gas and a road flare.

How's that for flaming the thread?

BTW OP, you can report the posts all day long. All you're doing is giving the mods another chance to laugh at you.

I have to agree with all the previous posters on the car's value...however, I think you are all misguided. A Subaru like this with all those mods is easily worth 7k or better. I want to know by only charging $5500 whats wrong with it. What is he hiding? Work with me people...

    How did I miss this?

Was that fender flaring done with a baseball bat? Poor/uneven fender rolling, dented fenders from the rolling, and rust because no one bothered to paint the metal after rolling it. That's classic hackery on a job.

If the other mods were installed with twice the care of that fender job, I still wouldn't trust that car.
