Hi everyone. I recently learned of the community after getting my 2017 Limited and thought I'd say hello. I'm in the Fridley area, if anyone is nearby. I frequent 694, 35w, and hwy 96 on my way to and from work and can often be found in the Roseville area or on the University of MN Twin Cities campus. If I'm not busy with work, I'm at home with my two toddlers, two dogs, and my wife enjoying family time. Or I am enjoying a couple of my hobbies such as archery at the Rapids Archery Club, bowhunting in greater MN, or chasing tighter groups with my rifle at Minnetonka Game and Fish Club gun range. I also enjoy hiking and am a bit of a technology geek. I've seen a number of WRXs and STIs on the road. Not sure if most of them are forum members or not, but I drive a WR Blue model that may be a bit more noticeable with the twin driving lights in the front grille. I've since replaced the original Subaru emblem for a more factory look. Mods I've done so far: - SPT cat back exhaust - Perrin shift stop and brass bushing - LED bulb swap for fogs and interior lights - JDM center console and coin holder drawer - MOLLE trunk lid storage pouches - Subispeed NBR Challenge style grille - Shorter rubber hangers to lift up saggy exhaust tips I will likely be adding a downpipe and accessport once the warranty runs out, but I plan on keeping the car mostly stock on major components since it is a daily driver and family car. That and I got it from Walser and they have the lifetime power train warranty. Next mod I have planned is a Kartboy short shifter plate, and I plan to drill and insert tungsten weights into the stock shift knob to add some mass. Anyways, hello and hope to see some of you on the road!
Welcome to the forum Jason! You picked the best color and have some tasteful mods started. There are alot of new gen WRX's and STi's on here, so i'm sure that you have come across a couple in your commuting! Middle pouch is my first aid kit. Passenger side is a lithium jumper and work gloves. Driver side is a survival kit of my own design. Odds and ends for car survival like if I get stranded in a blizzard or something. The pouches do add some weight to the trunk lid, but it frees up space on the trunk floor.
Yo! Welcome family. On 252 side I'm chill as long as the MED's are taken...Hahahaha.!!! See ya around! Ha!!!
Medication compliance is always a good thing. For the patient, the public they interact with, and it keeps me working.
Jason, pretty sure I saw you about two weeks ago sitting on the corner of Gardena and Central, taking a left toward the Holiday. I was heading north on Central toward Lifetime. Looks like we're in the same-ish neighborhood. Welcome!
Hey guys, sorry for the long absence. Shorty, I got them off Amazon. Bigger bags: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Z9VHHM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Medic bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015QHZBEG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Pillboy, road flares do not fit in them. At least not well without having them diagonally and eating up more space than I would like. I keep flares in the spare tire well. I've since reorganized my trunk lid bags since it was getting a bit on the heavy side and I actually had issues with the trunk staying closed despite popping the latch. I've pretty much put whatever I can in the spare well and only put lighter items in the bags. Ocie, not likely it was me. I rarely ever am in that area - especially on Old Central. I do go to the Super Target off Central and 694 regularly, but usually get there via 694. I am on East River Road a lot (since I live near it) between 694 and Osborne. Hope to see you guys around!
I'm in Champlin so we may run into each other on occasion. I always look like I am in a hurry but assure you I am not most of the time.
